Start of University
I started my journey in University in September 2015, still unsure of the direction I wanted to take. I struggled first in a new environment but quickly became a top student and graduated with a first, with only one other student. I was presented with the Warrington Guardian award for outstanding contribution towards Journalism in my final year.
VAVEL (Writing)
During University I reached out to a number of writing websites on a volunteer websites, as a way to publish content to a platform and connect with other writers. In January 2016 VAVEL offered me a perfect platform and I quickly became an editor of their Professional Wrestling section and amassed over 400 articles in just over a year.
LFCTV
While at University I was offered the chance to gain some work experience in January 2017 at LFCTV. What started out as a two day opportunity turned into a weekly occurrence before being transitioned into a paid work role which allowed me to get my foot in the door in a difficult industry.
Tranmere Rovers
In my final year of University a group of students, myself included, were partnered with Tranmere Rovers to produce content for a fan website. While making great connections we shared some of our content with the official club channels and I stayed on post education to film on match-days and various shoots that I organised with help of club staff.
LFCTV (Technical Operator)
Following completion of my studies at the University of Chester, I was fortunate to secure immediate employment at Liverpool Football Club's official media channel in August 2018. This was an entirely new role previous to my background and yet one I quickly adapted to and still occupy on a freelance basis today.
VAR Coordinator
As my contract with LFCTV came to an end I was presented with a great opportunity to continue my work with the club but in a new role. The Premier League required an official announcer for VAR calls within stadiums during the 2019/20 season and in this position I absorbed the duties of Scoreboard Operator also.
Mushin Media Manager
I contacted a local martial arts academy regarding some work with social media promotion and quickly formed a partnership which continues. I oversee their media channels and produce content for Mushin and their partners. This was role is a volunteer role to help improve my digital marketing skills.
LFCTV Technical Operator
Currently contracted to Liverpool Football Club digital media as a technical operator involving graphics, audio and VT operation.
